Background:

This position would be for a Hand-On Analytics Managerial position guiding a small and focused Team of Statisticians/Analysts. This position will focus on engaging with the Business in key Analytics focus areas so that the Business needs & pains could be understood and resolved proactively which can help Business with key insights thereby leading to revenue gains or Cost Optimization & work on capability development in the team for the key insights to be delivered to Business leveraging Descriptive, Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics.

High-Level JD for the position:

- Engages with Business in understanding Business needs & delivering Analytics solutions as per the Business priorities

- Appropriately applies tools, products, processes and technology to meet business needs in accordance with the current Advanced Analytics Strategy

- Builds and mentors multiple Teams and resources to meet Advanced Analytics requirements enabling Business areas, capability development around Statistical / Analytical tools / techniques

- Coaching and mentoring employees/direct reports (Career development, alignment on project and organizational direction, issues etc.)

- Stays current with technology and business direction around Business Intelligence and Analytics practices and applies the same for Business solutions.

- Internal & External collaboration to conceptualize, build and deliver the right Analytical solutions as envisaged for the current/evolving Business needs

- Develops engagement with on-board suppliers to get the repetitive work sourced from Suppliers (Based on Organizational Supplier Strategy)

- Defines, monitors, and maintains key metrics for area of responsibility to measure the effectiveness and value of the services provided

Required Skills, Knowledge, & Relevant Work Experience:

- Strong Analytics background ( Hands-On Experience in Statistics/Applied Mathematics & extensive usage of Statistical Tools like SAS, Data Visualization, Data-Modeling, working experience of projects around Descriptive/Prescriptive/Predictive Analytics).

- Experience with Hadoop and Languages for querying non-relational stores such as Pig or Hive

- Overall experience of around 10 years or more preferred

- Understanding of Data extraction, modeling and integration with a familiarity around various Data storage warehouses and appliances

- Hands-on Experience in Data Mining Analytics projects around Customer/Marketing/Finance Data

- Good Inter-personal / conflict-resolution skills

- Good written and verbal Communication skills

- Business Savvy; Capabilities to collaborate with Business in providing Analytics solutions

- Inquisitive; ability to think and apply knowledge creatively
