RMS - Modeling Analyst (1-3 yrs)
Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:
Experience- 1-3 years
- Researching and mining socio-economic and engineering information related to insured properties mainly in different countries.
- Evaluating, and implementing methodologies and solutions for property valuation.
- Evaluating the Insurance Policy language in P&C industry in such countries and translating those details to implementable assumptions.
- Identify, plan and execute continuous improvements in existing and future exposure data development
- Synthesize and develop more creative and efficient developmental approaches for new models
- Executing model testing and implementation.
- Executing analytics of Exposure Data provided by our clients, and benchmarking RMS data products against such data.
- Researching P&C data availability and requirements. Developing data and data quality assessment related products and solutions.
Experience Required:
- Post-graduate/Masters/Doctorate in Structural/Earthquake/Civil or or Environmental Science or Statistics/Applied Mathematics/Economics/Physics
- Analytical and innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- A self-starter who can work with minimum supervision.
- Energetic and enthusiastic and have a passion for excellence.
Skills required:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to write for technical and non-technical audiences and to interact effectively with members of analysis team and plan, conduct and disseminate results of research
- Programming knowledge, preferably in both statistical and scientific languages (R/Matlab/Python) and data manipulation tools (SQL, Microsoft Office); VBA and VB.Net is an added advantage, as well as working knowledge of GIS tools (MapInfo, ArcInfo) along with high level of expertise in Excel and Access.
