Rivigo - Manager - Financial Reporting & Accounts Payable - ICWA/CA (4-8 yrs)

Responsible for Business Partnering, P&L Management, Revenue Assurance, AP processes, Financial Accounting, Reporting and Compliance. Incumbent will need to keep a keen eye on controls and regulatory Compliance relevant to market-place and significant financial flows inherent in a marketplace and bring in relevant Tech and analytics at an aggressive pace. The person will work very closely with Freight Management Team, Manager FP&A and New Products & Freight Finance Head to help drive the growth and sustainability of Freight business.

1 End-to-end accountability of payments, financial accounting and related controls & tax/statutory compliances for Freight business. Work with all stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Ensure timely closure of month end and year end books.

a. Process controls for Revenue Assurance and OTC cycle, from contracting to invoicing to collection

b. Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Revenue Recognition

c. Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

d. Reconcile key Balance Sheet items, analyze key PL items and review key journal entries/high risk items

e. Support Corporate Controller in preparation of statutory accounts and their audit

2 Liaison with Banks/ Payment gateways on stuck receipts and payments.

3 Coordinate with Rivigo internal functions and stakeholders for required debottlenecking, and problem solving. Implement and keep updated key SOPs commensurate with the size and scale of the business. Monitor adherence to SOPs and follow through on outliers.

4 Responsible for budgeting, financial analysis/data insights, publication of review docket covering key KPIs for the business and drive reviews as required. Working with all stakeholders to drive accountability amongst all stakeholders.

5 Ensure internal controls in the business, especially over transactions being carried out on the platform and the Financial flows. Use of data analytics will be key, given the nature of business and high volume/ speed of transactions as the platform.

6 Responsible to infuse tech to make Finance processes scalable, minimize errors and make seamless direct connects with in-house tech, in order to make finance processes as low-(human) touch as possible.

7 Drive Oracle Integration in co-ordination with Manager FR&AP.

8 Ensuring End customer Receipt and payment reconciliation and automation of such reconciliation to eliminate any manual processes and ensure Revenue Assurance.

9 Leading a team would require an inherent ability to engage with the team, drive accountability & strong performance management. As a senior member of Rivigo Finance team, be a torch-bearer of Rivigo Leadership Principles and participate in driving key people initiatives for Rivigo Finance team.

Key Indicators of Success : 

- Agile management of business profitability and cost. Partnership with business in defining accounting for new product features.

- Revenue assurance and controls and trip wise profitability

- No surprises on accounting, finance and control matters or profitability issues

- High level of automation in Finance processes

Educational Qualifications - ICWA/ CA

Years of Experience - 4-8 years

Nature of Experience : 

Prior experience of working in an industry which is high on volume of transactions and in need of strong controls & monitoring. Experience of working in Financial Reporting and Accounting team and handling monthly/ quarterly/ annual book closure, accounts payables, system report reconciliation and customer P&L required. Knowledge of Tally, Oracle and SAP is added advantage.

- Strong verbal and written communication

- Interpersonal skills; a team player with strong leadership and project management capabilities

- Ability to function independently, prioritize on a real-time basis and manage multiple stakeholder

- An excellent sense of finance, planning and accounting principles and an excellent understanding of banking, treasury and RBI requirements for operation of marketplace escrow and float accounts

- Strong tech orientation and understanding of data analytics
