Risk Manager - Payments Firm (4-6 yrs)

Who we are :


Client is a technology driven payments company, providing custom solutions to various industries. It is Indias first super-aggregating collection and settlement ecosystem, for both online and offline collection modes. We partner with banks/payment/cards companies to help businesses collect money efficiently for our customers, providing real-time reports, reconciliation, and customer service.


Join us as a Risk & Control Manager :


- If you have a background in risk management, then join our team in helping to anticipate and assess the potential impacts of risk across payments.


- Well look to you to proactively drive the assessment and implementation of risk framework and policy compliance and changes, converting these into appropriate strategies and action plans


What you'll do :


- As a risk manager you'll be responsible for managing the risk to an organization


- Youll have the responsibility of supporting the management team in their identification and assessment of risks.


- Working with senior stakeholders within the company, youll look to drive forward the development and delivery of remedial action plans where identified risks.


- On top of this, youll be supporting a culture of proactive and pre-emptive risk management and continuous improvement, and the attainment of risk objectives of the company.


Youll also be:


- Design Internal Controls Review Procedures and Work Program


- Individual will assist in Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of operational & financial controls across merchant life cycle (on-boarding, integrations, transactions & settlements)


- Providing exception reports on regular basis


- Being personally accountable for identifying, assessing, managing and reporting risks within your area of responsibility, including supporting formal risk management activities e.g. Risk Control Self Assessments and timely closure of Assurance action


- Analysing risk reporting and metrics used to inform decision making


- Educating teams on the operational risk framework and our conduct risk obligations, supporting the business in operating and embedding them


- Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory and business issues impacting self-certification.


- Use of regulatory knowledge, business understanding and expert judgement, to quickly identify underlying issues and escalate issues, where appropriate.


The skills you'll need : To be successful in this role, youll need the ability to manage your own workflow, including that of direct reports to required deadlines. Youll also need good communication skills in order to work well within the team, as well as being able to negotiate with, and influence, stakeholders across an organization.


You will also bring:


- The ability to assess business financial and credit risk for their respective portfolios or sectors


- Knowledge of payment ecosystem in India and understanding of the financial products


- Financial and other risk analysis and problem-solving abilities


Experience : 4-6 years
