Risk Head - Credit Modelling - FinTech (10-15 yrs)

- This is a Senior Management and top leadership role and the incumbent is responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art, data-driven exploratory analysis to build and evaluate predictive and decision models.

- Provide thought-leadership on improving customer acquisition strategies, developing statistical credit models, and communicate analytical and credit ideas - internally, as well as to partner banks.

- Ideate and help launch next-generation lending products and structures that will drive the next round of innovation and disruption within unsecured lending space

- Manage the analytics components of the project, including project schedules, workflow, and direction to the risk and analytics teams to ensure business objectives are met.

- He/She should be comfortable gathering, cleaning and analyzing historical data as well as applying different statistical and mathematical techniques to optimize the loan book portfolio as well as identify new customer segments

- Be comfortable building as well leading a team of credit underwriters, analysts and credit ops. Adapt to changing environments, resources, and project demands

- Liaise with bank & NBFC partners on implementation & successful management of lending programs.

- Monitor portfolio performance across a variety of metrics and apply corrective measures wherever necessary.

As a successful candidate, you should have

- BS degree in statistics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, physics, operations research field (MS preferred) MBA is optional.

- 10+ years of experience in unsecured credit risk, at least 5 years of experience in Indian personal loan market

- Significant hands-on experience conducting and leading medium/large predictive analytics engagements, exploratory data analysis, data management, and data preparation

- Experience analyzing data in order to draw conclusions about data integrity, accuracy, and general relationships with proficiency in analytic tools.

- Ability to anticipate, investigate and analyze database and data processing problems to pinpoint the cause of problems and recommend possible solutions.

- Relevant experience in relevant analytic programming skills (R, Python, Excel) and willingness to work closely with large data sets and get into the details with business processes

- Strong communication, presentation, and client facing skill sets

- Quick problem-solving capabilities. Lead project team to deliver projects on time with client's satisfaction.

- Proven capabilities in people management and leadership
