RIL - Team Manager - Customs - Textile

Job Accountability:

1. To advise business group on the importability, duty structure and statutory compliance of the product.

2. Validation of draft documents of new supplier.

3. Retrieving, checking and verifying NN documents received from procurement team.

4. To prepare supporting documents/declaration and forwarding the same to Customs Broker (CB).

5. Audit of draft Bill of Entry (for Import shipment) and draft shipping bill (in case of export shipment) in accordance with law & import/export documents.

6. To ensure correct classification of goods and determine duty rate after considering all notifications/ circular/ public notices.

7. Fund Provision for Duty payment and freight payment, Preparation of PRV's for duty and freight payment.

8. Co-ordinate with CB and respective buyer group to get the shipment cleared in stipulated time frame.

9. Ensure the compliance with the Policy, procedure of the Customs and IGST law and clear the goods from the customs within stipulated period of time.

10. Updating activity tracking detail in SAP for MIS.

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills): 

1. Sound knowledge of International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Customs law and procedure.

2. Maintain objectivity and confidentiality as required by the situation

3. High degree of integrity

4. Good knowledge of SAP, Windows, MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook) and Internet Applications.

5. Candidate should be able to demonstrate following qualities.

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications): 

- A candidate with following experience and qualification is desirable;

Relevant Experience : Minimum 9 years of experience in the field of Import/Export Clearance activity.
