RIL - Team Lead - Customs - Retail (10-12 yrs)
Job Accountabilities
1. Helping Business in planning imports by advising on importability, costs (including customs duty) & logistics.
2. Validation of applications for licenses/permits.
3. To ensure that imported goods are cleared within set timelines with optimization of customs duty and other costs.
4. Coordination with internal and external agencies for effective supply chain management.
5. Maintaining data base of statutory changes.
6. Preparing and submission of periodic MIS reports.
7. Participating in process and system improvements.
8. Providing inputs and preparing reply to query during clearance and post clearance audit/investigation/notices/litigations.
9. Ensuring post clearance compliances & refund/drawback claims.
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)
1. Knowledge of International Trade and Supply Chain Management, Customs Act, FTP & Allied Acts.
2. Capable of maintaining internal/external relationship.
3. Knowledge of SAP & MS - Power Point.
4. Ability to exercise good judgement, show initiative and proactive.
5. Extremely detailed oriented, analytical and methodical.
6. Ability to grasp & conceptualize the complex business transactions.
7. Proven ability to effectively prioritize work.
8. High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information.
9. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
10. Self-driven with leadership qualities to motivate and lead the unit members.
Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)
A candidate with following experience and qualification is desirable :
Education Qualifications - Graduate in any discipline with post-graduate Degree/Diploma in Exim Management/Supply Chain Management/International Business Management/CA/ICWA/LLB.
Relevant Experience : Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of Import/Export Clearance activity with large Organization(s).
