RIL - Lead - Risk Analytics

Job Purpose:

This position will spearhead a team that will be responsible for providing analytical support as well as developing complex financial models that will be used to answer business questions, identify issues and/or recommend courses of action. Individuals in this role need to utilize the data infrastructure by extracting, aggregating, and dissecting financial data and performance metrics for management review and action.

Job Accountabilities:

- Strengthen the Risk & Finance business analytics function at Reliance

- Work with businesses & functions to provide extensive consulting using advanced analytics/predictive analytics, machine learning and deep learning based methodologies.

- Conceptualize best in class analytic practices to be implemented within the organization

- Manage a team of data scientists and big data professionals who provide advanced machine learning and cognitive analytics based algorithms by integrating multiple data systems to provide real time business solutions.

- Provide thought leadership on the complete cycle of Finance analytics on processes like, portfolio analysis, financial reporting and analysis, capital budgeting and M&A, trading strategies etc.

- Partner closely with data visualization team to help build the required system functionality to collect, analyse and present data.

- Partner with the executive team, Business leaders, and other stakeholders to understand and deliver on their analytics needs: planning support, executive level analysis and recommendations

- Build statistical models to forecast demand in operations planning and optimization.

- Conduct routine diagnostic studies using correlation, testing of hypothesis, survey analysis, categorical data analysis, ANOVA, Time series, Optimization Techniques and Operations Research methodologies

Skill & Competencies:

- R, Python, Zoom Data, Tensorflow, Keras, Pandas, Hadoop and Apache suite, Natural language Processing, Machine Learning, Cognitive Analytics, deep learning & computer vision etc.

- Strong business and functional acumen, communication skills and drive for results

- Must be able communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.

Education Required:

- Postgraduate in Finance, Business, Statistics/Operations Research/Mathematics/Economics

- Preferably from a premier institute or with extensive experience leading an advanced analytics team in a diverse and complete organization.
