RIL - Capability Development Specialist (5-8 yrs)

Short Description : 

Reporting to the Head of Capability Development, this role is pivotal to ensuring high quality execution of the development strategy for a defined group. Collaborating with internal learning colleagues and faculty as well as external partners, the Capability Development Specialist will input into the effective design and ensure excellent delivery of academy programs.

Long Description : 

Job Accountabilities : 

- Support learning design and delivery - all aspects, from working on the design of new programs and refining the design of existing offerings, to working with our Learning Operations team to ensure on time quality delivery of our programs, wherever they run.

- Option to be involved in delivery, where appropriate.

- Faculty relationships - this role will be responsible for liaising with internal and external faculty to ensure excellent delivery of Leadership Academy programs. This will involve working closely with the Faculty Manager and supporting faculty assessments, on-boarding of new faculty and the on-going development of faculty skills and knowledge.

- Supplier relationships - co-ordinate 3rd party supplier relationships, input into negotiation discussions and liaise with them on day to day operational issues.

- Communications - working with internal and external partners, this role will need to ensure that programs are marketed through the available channels, suggesting improvements and innovations where appropriate.

- Budgetary management - day to day management of finances is a key element of the role. This means working with the financial controller to calculate budgets and track expenditure within set limits. It also means working with 3rd party suppliers to ensure prompt payment of invoices.

- Impact measurement - working with internal and external partners to ensure the use of effective measurement tools used and suggest improvements/ new methodologies.

- Online learning - working with the Learning Technology team and external partners, enhance and improve existing online program elements and help develop new and innovative approaches to improve the learning experience for RIL employees.

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills):

The ideal candidate will have all or a good mix of the following:

- Strong understanding of leadership development & learning - ideally developed within international / global roles.

- Approximately 2-4 years- work experience in a closely related field.

- Experience of understanding learning needs, translating into successful solutions, and evaluation of solution.

- Facilitation and content delivery experience, able to demonstrate strong platform skills.

- Project Management experience - across of a range of learning and development projects, size and type.

- Problem solving and decision making - able to gather and understand important concepts in decision making. To be able to demonstrate the ability to identify the right, commercially appropriate solution.

- Financial management skills - financial planning, tracking & management that needs to happen with multiple courses running globally with multiple vendors. Therefore, attention to detail and a basic/ good understanding of the fundamentals of finance would be ideal.

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications):

Post Graduate degree in Organization Behavior/ Organization Psychology/IRPM/ HRM or proven capability to learn.
