Position : Manager Finance & Accounts Reports To : Project Finance Controller Location : Indore Key Responsibilities : 1. Project Management Accounting : - Management of the project level financial accounting and scheduling in financial and project management systems as per Accounting Standards. - Controls and monitors project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices with contract and change orders, claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded - Authorize the transfer of expenses into and out of project-related accounts basis accounting standard - Review and approve supplier invoices related to a project - Review and approve time sheets for work related to a project - Review and approve overhead charges to be applied to a project - Actively participate in Project meetings - Actively participate in procurement process for commercial matter - Communicate with project managers, vendors, and external parties to manage draw requests/requirements if any. - Ensure compliance with Corporate accounting practices and procedures and internal control. - Own setup and creation of new projects, tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project contract requirements as scheduled. - Maintain costs and schedules by working directly with project/program management and engineering. - Physical verification of asset on regular basis 2. Project Management Reporting : - Producing monthly cost reports for projects and assisting Project Managers; reporting on project variances of actuals vs budgets with reason and updating forecasts. - Timely submission of the MIS covering all financial aspects of the project (s) including variance analysis, financial analysis, drilled-down cost for each of the key project areas and the project performance - Deliver complete, accurate and timely project costing and accounting in sync with the actual completion status of the projects with all control mechanisms in place - Performs Earned Value Analysis to provide accurate project health - Oversee each stage of the project and provide reports in a timely manner on time and cost overruns 3. Controls : - Responsible for maintaining and establishing policies and procedures to ensure an appropriate level of controls exist in all areas of accounting. - Oversees the compliance with current and future department policies including but not limited to equity, intercompany, sub-ledgers, and debt policies. 4. Project Funding : - Coordinate with the Corporate Finance Team in managing Fund by providing timely information - Providing projection on timely basis to ensure accurate funding option. 5. Taxes : - To ensure all tax-related issues are properly dealt with direct and indirect taxes 6. SAP System : - To be in charge of SAP ERP system implementation (PM module) - To oversee and manage day to day ERP system operation - To ensure proper system administration and maintenance after implementation Direction of Others : Executive / Officer Experience & Education : - Finance & accounting degree from a recognized university - Qualified CA preferred - Minimum 5-8 years finance & accounting working experience, preferably in an MNC enterprise of which 2-3 years in supervisory or management position Functional Requirements : - Finance & accounting degree from a recognized university - Worked in Greenfield / Brownfield Project - Strong internal control knowledge and skill - Good people management skill - SAP experience - Good organization, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills - Good business English in speaking, writing and reading
