Role purpose :
- The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for revenue performance, operational goals and customer delight across our Retail formats. He owns this performance by working closely with the retail head and sales manager in circles by planning revenue budgets/goals, monitoring performance and aligning a performance improvement plan where needed.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
- Develop & deploy a sales planning and execution process that underpins store development in line with revenue & customer experience objectives
- Work with functional teams incl product marketing and retail marketing,CS ops and CS training nationally to bring product and process actions to maximize store revenues
- Creating a customer centric culture with the right kind of hiring, training and rewards program all aligned to responsibly maximising store revenues .
- Achieves financial and customer experience objectives in line with annual budget; identifying variances and initiating timely correctives where required
- Align specific action plans for performance improvement of bottom quartile associates/ stores to meet national standards
Key performance indicators :
- All Revenue & product lines including Postpaid,MI,Prepaid,Mpesa
- Customer experience : TNPS and EQ
- Attrition % & VPS for front-line
- Productivity track - Same stores, New stores and associates
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
- Deep experience in sales operations to provide expert help to circles on standard initiatives and specific challenges
- Independent thought leadership and drive to execute .Should be an expert in his/ her specific area of competence
- Powerful influencing skills, effective people management skills and proven ability to function within a matrix-organisation
- Analytical skills to interpret insights
- Program Management and execution
