Opportunity Overview nference is looking for Research Scientists for our India office. The nference core platform (nferX) uses state-of-the-art neural networks (shallow and deep learning models) for real-time, automated extraction of knowledge from the scientific, regulatory and commercial bodies of literature, but broad and deep domain expertise is required for both narrowing the potential search space for a given project and appropriately interpreting the subsequent results and framing them within the current knowledge of the field of interest. As a part of a rapidly growing team, the individual will play a key role in: (a) Working with our pharmaceutical partners to understand their specific needs and applying the nferX platform to identify novel and clinically impactful findings (b) Identifying biomedical structured datasets (e.g. RNA-Seq, Proteomics, Insurance Claims, etc.) that should be integrated into our platform and collaborating with the data science and software development teams to develop new features for the core product (- nferX platform- ) using these datasets (c) Presenting the results of these analyses to the leadership of our pharmaceutical partners Location: India Compensation: Competitive Start-date: As soon as possible Qualifications - Ph.D. in the life sciences from a top-tier institution with a broad and deep understanding of your field of research (Computational Biology preferred) - Expert ability to break down complex biomedical problems and present the resulting findings to clients - Superb written and verbal communication - Coding proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred)
