Research Manager - Competitor Analytics - Transaction Banking

Research Manager - TB

This role has the following three primary components :

1. Being a subject matter expert for Competitor Analytics on Global Transaction Banking (with Securities Services and Lending)

2. Providing research and expertise support to these relationships across largest Investment Banks, together with the Client Relationship teams

3. Supporting the development of the Competitor Analytics service line across Corporate and Investment Banking

Expertise :

- Global Transaction Banking as a must (Ideally Based out of UK ) - Candidates without Transaction Banking exp will not be considered.

- Securities Services/Lending as a plus

Research :

- Together with the Client Relationship Management teams, deliver the Competitor Analytics in line with the annual delivery schedules, attending delivery meetings in person

- Prepare projects and analytics ready to present to clients in line with contractual remit and timeframes

- Work closely with the Analytics centre in Mumbai on execution of project and deliveries

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :

- Strong product expertise

- Deep expertise in Global Transition Banking activities, strong knowledge of Securities Services and Lending activities; broad knowledge of Corporate and Investment Banking activities: trends, specific competitors and their strengths

Preferred backgrounds where relevant experience is likely to have been gained (in order of preference) :

- Business Management function within banks

- Product or Sales Management within banks

- Bank's internal Strategy teams

- FS practice of a Consulting firm

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills and aptitude, and an ability to work with significant amounts of data, both numerical and qualitative.

- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills allowing immediate individual impact within client; the ability to build rapport easily and to converse confidently and articulately. Fluency in spoken English is essential; Excellent qualitative skills and the ability to prepare well-edited, well presented reports and market commentary.

- Excellent project Management - A proven ability to work autonomously; Strong track record of successfully delivered projects.

- A strong degree of independence, drive and self-motivation. A proven ability to work autonomously and to take ownership of planning own workload
