Research Insights Writer - IT Consulting Firm (4-10 yrs)

Job Summary:

The position is responsible for providing high quality thought leadership writing and editorial support for research and insights projects. The incumbent ensures that research is written at the highest quality standards.

The successful candidate must be adept in writing insights/thought leadership for all verticals on varied topics like new age technologies, sustainability, economics and finance and lead the efforts in improving the writing capability in the team.

Purpose of the Job:

- Work closely with the analysts to develop, document, promulgate, and maintain quality standards as related to research projects.

- Ensuring all documents are free of errors in grammar, punctuation, tone, spelling, context, content and accuracy

- Knowledge of authentic and acceptable media sources for fact checking/cross-checking from the source

- Ensures deliverables adhere to quality standards and exemplify a digital first approach to data visualization and product delivery

Analytical/Decision-making Responsibilities:

- Ability to edit for logic, structure, grammar, and consistency within a specified framework.

- Ability to cut through the clutter

- Ability to monitor the accuracy and creativity of content provided in materials; and to paraphrase without changing the intended meaning

- Understanding of different writing styles across and its application while editing-industries/organizations

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

- Experience in editing business research reports, blogs, articles, marketing literature, white papers, etc.

- In-depth understanding of grammar concepts, and the ability to explain them readily and independently while editing documents or to the author

- Identify and resolve issues in submitted material, and interact closely with analysts and content teams to improve the readability of reports.

- Ability to work with a global mindset in a virtual environment

- Understanding of the business and demonstrated commercial acumen; ability to think and plan strategically

Job Requirements:

Education: Masters / Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in content editing, business writing, communications, marketing, business, or any related discipline is desirable
