Job Description : Corporate Affairs and Government Relations
Location: Gurugram
ReNew, Indias leading decarbonisation solutions provider committed to powering a sustainable future, is seeking a seasoned and proactive professional to be a part of its corporate affairs and government relations team.
The strategic role requires fostering and nurturing relationships with federal and state governments, key career bureaucrats, ministers and political figures.
The candidate would be responsible for creating a favourable environment for the companys growth, advocating for its interests, and providing strategic counsel on government affairs to the senior leadership team.
Key responsibilities :
- Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with key federal and state government officials, policy makers, ministers and other stakeholders relevant to the companys objective and aspirations.
- Help the company solidify its presence across the country and position it in a way that keeps it ahead of competition.
- Be the companys eyes and ears in the corridors of power, throwing open the doors for senior leadership team to engage with whos who in the government and political circles.
- In times of any uncalled for crisis, provide strategic counsel to senior leadership and help find an amicable solution.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team on government relations.
- Travel to states where the company has its business operations to coordinate with unit heads and strengthen relationships with the local government, including key officials, ministers and chief ministers.
- Support the companys expansion into new states by establishing relationship with key stakeholders in political ecosystem.
- Partner with internal teams to align government relationship and advocacy efforts with the companys objectives.
Skills :
- Around 15-20 years of experience in government relations.
- Strong network of relationships with federal and state government officials, industry associations and political figures.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior government authorities.
- Exceptional communication and inter personal skills with the ability to advocate and negotiate effectively.
- Strategic problem-solving abilities.
- Selfstarter with a proactive approach to identifying and building relationships.
- Have decent knowledge of renewables and clean energy in order to be able to communicate and advocate matters of companys interest with key stakeholders.
