The Marketplace business is an internet-commerce based platform where sellers across various domains can list their products, pricing and positioning, while receiving support from the marketplace owners in terms of warehouse and logistics. Sellers pay a service fee to the marketplace platform in exchange for the listing and e-commerce services. Job Summary : - As a Regional Head (Partner Acquisition), you will be heading the seller acquisition function for your region (one or more states) and managing a team that will be responsible for initiating and nurturing strong relationships with Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as partners and sellers on JioMart Marketplace. - You will quickly hire and train a large field sales team (on-roll & off-roll) and enable them to achieve the seller on-boarding targets month on month. - You will conduct desk & field research and generate the database of SMEs and manufacturing clusters for large categories like General Merchandise, F&L, FMCG, CDIT etc. across your region and enable your teams in on-boarding those SMEs on JioMart. - You will oversee the end-to-end process of seller on-boarding on a daily basis and liaise with internal stakeholders like category, product, IT, marketing & fulfilment teams to resolve the bottlenecks in the seller journey. - You will also be responsible for account management for the SMEs ensuring they have a smooth seller/partner experience on the platform Skills Required : 1. Excellent people management skills, having led large and distributed field sales teams - hiring, training and driving the team for sales targets - on-roll & off-roll. 2. 7+ yrs field sales experience in Channel sales/D2C/B2B2C within one/multiple industries - Telecom, FMCG, e-commerce, start-ups, fintech, hospitality etc. 3. Persuasive leader with an ability to break down the vision/goals, communicate succinctly to teams and drive towards achieving targets. Balance between long term organization goals and short-term business scale up targets. 4. Strong daily rigor in driving the sales operations within the team. Structured and consistent approach to drive the end-to-end seller on-boarding process - sales, cataloguing, go-live and account management. 5. Analytical ability to evaluate the Seller's business metrics and take remedial actions to improve Seller performance. 6. Strong stakeholder management experience. 7. Very good in MS excel and comfortable analyzing large sets of data and drawing actionable insights. 8. Exposure to E-Commerce marketplace, preferably in areas of Seller Acquisition & Account management. 9. Deep knowledge on seller landscape within the region/territory is preferable. The role will entail 30% travel (inter-city and intra-city) within the assigned region. Preferred Qualifications : 1. MBA from Tier-1/2 institute preferable. Not mandatory for exceptional sales rock stars. 2. Graduation from a top state-level college. Engineering preferable. 3. 10+ years of overall experience with minimum 7 years in field sales.
