Commercial Head- Reliance Retail New Format Functional : 1. Directs Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company to include budgeting, tax planning, real estate, and protection of assets. 2. Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems. 3. Ensure the business is conducted as per agreed Standard operating procedures. 4. Ensure business pricing and marketing decisions are in the best interest of the company. 5. Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company. 6. Ensure compliance with all statutory authorities, filing of tax returns, etc. 7. Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets, maintenance of books of accounts and comply with auditing procedures. 8. Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports and ensure records and systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. 9. Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards. 10. Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business. 11. Analyzes company operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need to be reorganized, down-sized, or eliminated. 12. Address the unique commercial challenges of the Swadesh format by identifying new solutions 13. Develop a costing format for the various bricks under each category Customer : - To provide details as requested by the central leadership team, investor senior leaders and auditors. - Maintain accurate and up to date financial information for sharing with various formats within the group and maintain seamless relationship - To ensure vendors, brands, admin and marketing service providers' financial and commercial requirements are addressed immediately to their satisfaction. - Dimensions Responsibility Operational : - To review monthly accounts, expenses booking - To ensure all direct tax and indirect tax remittance happen on a monthly basis and returns filed on time. - To manage cash flow and ensure sufficient cash to meet any exigencies - To prepare sales, margin, GIMROF, GIMROI, EBITDA expectation for the various categories across formats. - To coordinate and finalise the financial planning for all categories within the vertical - To prepare profitability reporting, review budgets and profit forecasting and financial control for driving efficiencies. - To oversee and concur the pricing decisions/ buying budget for each category. - To oversee and concur all the schemes and promotion and ensure they are within the given budget. - To ensure that all activities that may require financial, legal and statutory compliances are undertaken after getting clearances from the appropriate authority - To ensure the category mix within the format yields the maximum return - To ensure the business expenses are spent only on need basis and follow the accepted SOP's and procedure.
