Qualification :

Essential : B.E. / B.Tech and MBA from premier Institute for either degree or post graduation

Experience : Within similar Industry/ Sector Power plant / power business and regulatory/ mining industry / Industrial Engineering (5 - 15 years experience)

Age Band (in yrs) : Below 40 years

Competency Profile required (Key Competencies - On Rating of 1-5) :

Power plant / coal mining operations / industrial operations knowledge - 4

Cost, Business and Financial analysis skills - 4

Data analysis and presentation skills ((MS office and other tools) - 4

Ability to understand commercial contracts - 4

Ability to work with all stakeholders in a project - 4

Result oriented approach - 4.5

Flair for innovation and problem solving - 4.5

Passion for IT tools and new technologies - 4

Key Responsibilities :

Financial :

- Analysis of operating, cost and financial parameters for R-Power projects and SPVs and factors impacting their financial performance

- Thorough understanding of contractual arrangements impacting operational and financial performance of the power plants and coal mine e.g. PPA or OEM contracts

- Benchmarking of operating and financial parameters and identifying the areas of improvement for coal mine and power plants

- Identifying projects that lead to performance improvement, cost reduction, process improvement, efficiency enhancement, substitution of materials and alternate technologies (- Business Excellence Projects- ) in consultation with site and business teams

- Evaluating the operational and financial viability of the Business Excellence Projects in consultation with site and business teams and presenting to CEO, RPower for approval of the projects

Operational :

- Implementation and monitoring of Business Excellence Projects approved by management

- Active part in facilitating the implementation of Projects by regular visits to sites and interaction with site team or relevant stakeholders

- Regular (weekly/monthly/quarterly) management updates on project implementation

- Engage/source external expertise / consultants for project implementation wherever required

Customer :

- Provide inputs and interact with Project Directors and Business Heads on potential areas for Business Excellence Projects and support in implementation of ongoing Business Excellence Projects

- Regular reports on technological innovations across the industry

People :

- Regular training and participation in various industry forums/training modules as well as visits to world class facilities to upgrade skills and be on top of the latest happening in the mining and power industry.

- Monitoring of industry information and changes that could be affecting R-Power SPVs and projects
