Key Competencies :

- Should have the foresight for efficient direction & leadership to Finance function.

- Should have knowledge of Taxation VAT/Excise & other laws.

- Capable to undertake need base training for skill development

- Should have knowledge of accounting standard & compliance of guidance note etc for power plant & coal mine.

- Knowledge to Risk assessment & claim settlement

- Be able to deal with government department for Tax compliance, etc

Key Responsibilities :

Financial :

- Planning of Funds receivables & payables with optimum utilization of available funds. Furnishing of funds requirement based on vendors & expense head along with disbursement to vendors and employees reimbursement.

- Payment of statutory dues as per due date & ensuring regular compliance.

Operational :

- Review of general ledger and other heads of Profit and Loss Account & Balance Sheet along with analysis of trial balance & reporting on monthly, quarterly & annually basis

- Verification of invoice vouchers & journal voucher along with supporting documents & ensuring compliance of laid down procedures on daily basis.

- Preparation & submission of VAT, CST & WCT Return and compliance of processes for submission of refund claims and VAT audit and finalize the sales tax assessment.

- Finalization of Monthly basis of coal cost & preparation of coal cost sheet for review by Mining team.

- Preparation or O&M Expenses details to be considered for cost sheet as per AOP line item wise of respective department.

- Finalizing & monitoring of coal & fuel Price Store Ledger and input data for monthly cost sheet.

- Preparation of Annual cost Record for cost audit report of SPL & coal cost certificate of coal mine.

Processes :

- Review of general ledger and advances with vendor & employees to ascertain correctness of accounting. Correct & timely updation of incoming BG in SAP.

- Maintaining cost audit records and cost audit report. Submission of cost audit report for cost audit.

- Preparation of month wise control sheet and GRN wise quantity and value of fuel & coal for monthly PSL and input data (Store consumption, administrative expenditure, operation & maintenance expenses and power generation data) for monthly Cost Sheet.

- Preparation of VAT register & sales register for VAT audit and VAT & CST Return. Maintaining report and record for sales tax assessment.

- Preparation of Input credit report for coal mine & Power Plant to be considered for filling of monthly return of Excise.

Customer :

- Managing vendor's payments & ensuring timely issuance of C Form to vendors.

- Liaison with sales tax office, excise & service tax department and banks officials.

- Coordination with other department, corporate office, internal & external auditor, VAT auditor and cost auditor.

People :

- Identifying Training for development of skill for each employee of the department for smooth functioning for technical & Leadership training.

- Mentoring and development of team for independent handling of tasks and enabling (a) them to perform tasks as per laid down procedures and expectation of the Leadership Team
