Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Financial:

- Tax Optimization of Company

- Utilization of resources in optimum manner while awarding contract.

- Handling the Accounts Department well versed in Accounting Standards, knowledge of Direct and Indirect taxes, Companies Act 2013.

- Aligning accounting principles with optimized top line, bottom line and tax.

- Budgeting, analysis, profitability reporting, cash flow, balance sheet, financial ratios and costing.

- Ensuring procedures, policies, legislation and regulations are correctly followed and complied.

- Ensure compliance to various applicable laws (Income-Tax, Service Tax, and Excise), Companies act, accounting standards and SEBI Guideline.

- Review of Advances (MIS on Aging / Correspondence with Business team for settlement / refund.

Operational:

- Maintain knowledge of trends in power sector.

- Accounts preparation including various reports and disclosures that are published in the Quarterly/Annual Financial reports & Monthly accounts.

- Capitalization of Units of Power Plant & equipments etc. as per Companies Act.

- Monitor day to day activities related to account under SAP environment

- Finalization, VAT audit, Tax Audit.

- Coordinating with the Internal Auditors, Statutory auditor and others.

- Finalization of cost audit report & submission to MCA.

- Scrutiny of General ledger. Reconciliation of ledger and PSL etc.

- Devising systems for improved functioning of the accounts department.

- Knowledge of internal controls and drafting policies.

- Liaising with the tax authorities.

- Supervise all the accounting records are in accordance to Companies Act / IFRS requirements.

Customer:

- Cross functional Departments

- Manage day-to-day interaction between all stake holders.

- Co-ordination with Internal / Statutory / Tax / Cost Auditors.

People :

- Working with cross functional team.

- Ability to plan, organize, control and effectively supervise the work of subordinates

- Working in co-ordination with Corporate Office.

- Identify training needs of sub ordinates and plan for the same.
