Manager - Business Intelligence

Job Role:

This will further enhance our business intelligence system to help the Business leaders to make better decisions In this role, incumbent should have a background in data and business analysis. Key Responsibilities:

- Translate business needs to technical specifications

- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems

- Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)

- Develop and update technical documentation

- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems

- Maintain and support data analytics platforms

- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses

- Querying DB to make product and ops reports: writing SQL scripts to extract data from DB and make report

- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects

- Creating Dashboards using Data Studio and Tableau: creating multiple dashboards for Web and Amazon using GA and other sources of data

- Crawling sites: crawling our websites to extract images or dess from 3PL sites & competitor websites to gather listing, price and sales information

- Adhoc R/Python scripts: For data extract and modelling purposes. Algorithms used but not limited to Regression, Classification, Survival modelling, etc

- Create tools to store data

- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting

Desired Skills and Abilities:

- Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining

- In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework

- Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI)

- Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), No SQL, Advance Java or Python

- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative

- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude

Education & Experience Required:

- Min 2 years of proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist

- Retail Industry experience will be preferred

- CS/MCA or minimum B Sc. / BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field, certification in BI will be preferred
