Position : Institutional Relationship Manager for MUMBAI & DELHI

Position Overview :

- The role involves building and maintaining relationships with institutional clients to promote and sell mutual fund products. This position requires an understanding of mutual funds, investment strategies, and market trends, as well as excellent communication and sales skills.


- The primary goal of a Mutual Fund Institutional Sales professional is to generate sales and increase assets under management.

- Candidate will be part of Customer Interaction team reporting to the Zonal Manager.

Key Responsibilities :

- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients such as corporate treasuries, Business proprietors, banks, financial institutions, family offices etc. Regularly engage with clients to provide updates on fund performance, market trends, and investment opportunities.

- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with prospective institutional clients. Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to develop sales strategies, pitches, and presentations tailored to meet the specific needs of different institutional clients.

- Sales and Product Presentations: Conduct compelling presentations and product demonstrations to institutional clients, highlighting the features, benefits, and performance of the mutual funds and investment products. Effectively articulate the firm's investment philosophy, strategies, and competitive advantages.

- Client Servicing: Act as a primary point of contact for institutional clients, addressing inquiries, providing updates on fund performance, and ensuring client satisfaction. Develop a thorough understanding of clients' investment guidelines, reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance.

- Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings. Analyze market data and investor behavior to identify potential sales opportunities.

- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Adhere to industry standards and maintain a thorough understanding of the legal and compliance framework governing mutual fund sales and marketing activities.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's/P.G degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.

- Proven experience of 3-4 years in institutional sales within the financial services industry, preferably in the mutual fund sector.

- NISM V-A Certification is mandatory.

- Should have strong existing relationship with mid and small size treasuries, financial institutions etc.

- Strong understanding of mutual funds, investment products, and financial markets.

- Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts effectively.

- Deep knowledge of institutional investor behaviour, needs, and industry trends.

- Strong analytical and research skills to assess market opportunities and competitive landscape.

- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to mutual funds.

- Strong ethics, integrity, and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
