Regulatory Compliance Officer - Headphones/Bluetooth/AV Devices Business (5-8 yrs)
Regulatory Compliance Officer - ( Headphones , Bluetooth , A/V Devices etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and implement country-specific regulatory requirements to Sennheiser products with respect to Product Safety, EMC, RF and Environmental regulations.
- Prepare Certification plan, marking matrix for Sennheiser products/packaging/user guides/product leaflets, Conformity assessment according to Sennheiser internal process.
- Coordinate and support product testing and application process with outside agencies / authorities to gain successful market authorization / access and timely introduction of new products according to sales and marketing needs.
- Review regulatory submission documents, marking/labeling text on product/packaging/user guide/leaflet, test reports, certificates and declarations.
- Review, coordinate and support product submissions and documentation based on regulatory changes / product changes.
- Support Technical Construction File maintenance and updates on the status of Regulatory compliance activities.
- Work with global team to have common approach to compliance management and lead improvement initiatives.
- Manage projects with diverse scope requiring interpretation of regulations, assessment of policy implementation, procedures and investigation in order to resolve compliance questions / issues.
- Stay up to date by monitoring and reviewing regulatory and legislative changes, preparing company's response to regulatory changes and follow up with appropriate areas to ensure required changes are implemented.
- Responding to customer requests regarding regulatory compliance questions/issues.
- Think beyond the box to achieve product certification / resolve issues related to regulatory compliance and certification.
- Any other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience OR Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering with minimum 8 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance preferably in consumer electronics (A/V or ITE products).
- Focused, meticulous and willing to learn new requirements related to product compliance & Regulatory affairs.
- Good team player, excellent communication in English and organizational skills.
- Able to develop intercultural collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with regulatory certification / approval process.
- Knowledge of test methodologies and test equipment used for regulatory compliance tests.
- Good knowledge and deep understanding of Product Safety, EMC & RF regulations to EU, North America & APAC countries for A/V or ITE products.
- Added value but not mandatory:
- Bluetooth Qualification and SIG Listing.
- Knowledge in Environmental Regulations such as ErP, MEPS, RoHS, REACH, Battery Directive, Packaging Directive etc.
- Trouble shooting techniques related to compliance issues.
- Usage of Product Data Management System (example: CIM Database or others).
