Regional Sales Manager - IT (15-20 yrs)

Primary Responsibilities : 

This position shall leverage deep understanding of the Geospatial and IT industries & solutions win new business software and services bookings. One of the primary responsibilities for this role is the acquisition of Business, New customers and New Verticals for Geospatial market in the given operational territory.

- Monitor product segment analysis and develop action plans to increase market share

- Development of sales channels

- Understand and interpret customers operational, financial and political drivers to derive potential solution architectures

- Maintaining and developing business relationships with existing customers and expanding the customer base

- Proactively liaise with government agencies on business development

- Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations.

- Lead the negotiation on the terms of an agreement and closing sales

- Provide inputs on market analysis and trends to the regional teams and competition

- Representing organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations

- Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions

- Involved with identifying new markets and business opportunities

- Meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business demands

- Building a 'territory'

- Achieving sales targets and ensuring forecasting accuracy

Key Skills Required

- Should hold an Engineering degree BE / B. Tech / MBA / M.Tech / PG Diploma (GIS or Remote Sensing).

- Should have 15 - 20 yrs of work experience

- At least 7+ years Sales experience in GIS / Geospatial / Surveying Instrument/ IT Hardware / IT Software / IT Solutions

- Experience in key account management, Account Qualification and Risk Management

- Demonstrates skills in strategic, analytical and conceptual sales

- Experienced in Government Sales and understands the Sales Cycle

- Bid Preparation and Tender Management

- Sound understanding of commercial activity and profitability

- Should be comfortable with frequent travel for business purposes
