Regional Manager - Sales - FMCG (15-20 yrs)

This Job Vacancy is to lookout for a high caliber FMCG Sales Professional having hands-on experience in Strong Sales fundamentals and excellent competency is managing a large team to achieve desired targets within the product mix and categories.

Strategic & Planning Responsibilities :

- Understands the sales strategy of the division for the achievement of annual sales targets, expansion & retention of the market/customer base and development of a strong brand proposition

- Understands & supports in the development of the Distribution strategy to ensure an optimal supply of goods based on market requirements across the respective region up to the retailer level

- Supports the Head - Sales & Sales Development Team in developing new strategies and in scanning the market for potential new avenues to generate revenue from untapped markets

- Deploys optimum Manpower to maximize the productivity of the department

- Conducts research and reports on future changes in the consumer care business to Sales Head

Functional Responsibilities:

- Takes overall responsibility for implementation of the sales strategy in Southern/Northern region through the cascade of performance goals and ensures their constant review

- Translates the regional level strategy to area level and shares it with the regional sales team

- Ensures accurate demand forecasting for respective region factoring constraints and contingencies with minimal fluctuations of schedules;

- Ensures optimal management of the inventory of finished goods streamlining the stock-flow from depots to distributors/retailers across the region

- Takes responsibility for implementing the developed guidelines for the effective distribution channel, and robust dealer networks; Monitor the effectiveness of all channel partners

- Develops mechanisms for distribution extensions & secondary sales

- Ensures implementation of marketing strategies across the country along with the Trade Marketing Team;

- Co-ordinates with sales HR for all administrative and infrastructural support for the sales force within the region

- Monitors timely collections of all required forms & ensures documentation and preparation of all MIS Reports etc.; Review and analyze variances and take required action

Financial & Control Responsibilities ;

- Supports in the development of detailed plans for optimization of selling costs & contributes to pricing strategy

- Creates the Annual S&D Budget for respective Region; Monitors adherence to the same

- Support Sales( Head in the formulation of the credit policy

- Take responsibility for cash flows at various levels and follows mechanisms to ensure that there is no blockage

- Prepares comprehensive plans for optimal manpower costs within the department

People Responsibilities

- Drives a culture of performance amongst subordinates - Sets goals, reviews and manages performance, guides and counsels and provides feedback on performance so as to ensure a motivated and committed team

- Develops the capabilities to take on higher responsibilities while performing the given / in-charge responsibilities at various levels within the Sales Department

- Ensures adequate training of sales force to be able to handle market dynamics and meet the requirements of the Distribution channel / Channel partners

- Takes overall responsibility for increasing ownership & empowerment within the department

Reporting Structure:

- The incumbents will report to Sales Head who is based at Corporate Office.

- The incumbents will be reported by ZSM's / ASM's - Sales of respective territories

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- 15-20 years of experience in FMCG Industry in categories like Food and Beverages, Biscuits &Confectionery etc with market knowledge in the areas of:

- South India - Tamil Nadu / Karnataka / AP /Telangana / Kerala. Other Region experience is also welcome for new arising roles.

- Preferred qualification is MBA/PGDM (full time) in Marketing from Tier I or Tier II Colleges
