Regional Manager - Project Management - IT (8-10 yrs)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Delivery Outcomes :
- Lead project teams to deliver quality outcomes focused on business value
- Facilitate planning for delivery teams and encourage empowerment within the team to commit to objectives and goals, using an iterative approach
- Ensure regular customer feedback sessions and showcases are held to demonstrate business value
- Instil a customer centric approach across the team and promote value driven delivery
- Be curious and ensure value driven mindset and prioritisation becomes our standard way of thinking and working
- Ensure consistent estimation and forecasting is undertaken and visible to the Program Manager, PMO and other key stakeholders
Stakeholder Management & Communication :
- Maintain, and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships to build trust and create a collaborative project delivery environment
- Build and maintain effective relationships with a range of internal departments and external stakeholders
- Ensure internal stakeholders are informed of the project status, risks and issues using your excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Liaise with and manage external vendors as required within different phases of the project
Project Management & Governance
- Facilitate the delivery of projects with a fit for purpose approach and provide support to the sponsor and steering committee as required
- Ensure the right level of project planning is in place and manage controls such as timelines, risk and benefits
- Ensure benefits to customers, partners and stakeholders are clear and projects are delivered to expectations
- Identify issues and risks as they affect project deliverables, time, quality, resourcing, and other project considerations
- Manage project budgets effectively and follow the Organisational Management standards for forecasting and reporting
- Work with the PMO as required to ensure visibility around project tracking and reporting
- Proactively manage dependencies within projects as well as external dependencies
- Support and drive continuous improvement in project processes and deliverables
Risk & Compliance :
- Display a professional attitude towards work, excellent time & communication skills and have the drive and discipline to take things to completion
- Lead the implementation of proactive risk management mindset and practices across delivery
- Adhere to the risk management and compliance obligations relevant to each position and comply with policies, processes and training requirements.
- Integrate compliance obligations, risk assessment and the risk management process into business practices
- Behave as required by the Company's Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct and values (connected, responsible , trust, excellent, caring)
- Ensure that all business proceedings are conducted in a manner which is professional, legal and ethical
- Ensure adequate controls are in place to prevent, detect and mitigate fraud and corruption risks
PROFILE KEY REQUIREMENTS :
Qualifications and Experience :
- Qualification in management/project management
- SCRUM certification is favorable as well as budgeting
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects in the financial services industry, preferably insurance
- Experience managing projects with an iterative approach and time critical environment
- Demonstrated understanding of software development and project delivery across agile and waterfall environments
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast paced environment while maintaining a people first focus
- English communication skill is must (both verbal and written)
