To co-own the development and implementation of the Sales &amp; Distribution strategy for the region. To build functional, organization and infrastructure GTM capabilities in all sales operations to ensure brilliant service in a wider distribution network of the organization. To execute a process, people &amp; technology-led strategy development sales processes &amp; systems and ensure capability building of SalesForce through the delivery of appropriate training programs. Reports to : Associate Director - Sales for the Region Reportees : 3 COVERAGE EXPANSION Being the leader &amp; champion for GTM interventions in the region, the incumbent is expected to: - Identify right GTM (Go to Market) model for town/outlet coverage and devise action plan in coordination with ASMs to unlock the town potential/opportunity - Town Development - Identify towns in terms of coverage &amp; volume opportunity basis benchmarked category performance, population &amp; macro-economic indicators. Planning the additional infra requirements, investment requirements, RTM changes basis potential - Alternate GTM Models - Strategize, plan and pilot GTM interventions (benchmarked to peer companies) that will take the Sales organization to the next level - Execute national strategies in the region as per expectations OPTIMUM RESOURCE UTILIZATION - Manpower Utilization - Track &amp; review the span (Direct reports, distributors, Salesman, Outlets) &amp; business size handled at every role/layer. Drive the optimum headcount across geography basis the business size, span &amp; growth potential/opportunity - Optimum Scale of Distribution - Plan the right distributor size, channel coverage &amp; count across geographies in co-ordination with branch teams. DRIVING SALES CAPABILITY : - Being the leader &amp; champion for capability interventions, the incumbent is expected to: - Identify gaps/opportunity areas in skill set of field force and developing&nbsp;capability interventions (On the job training, Classroom training programs etc.) to plug the same - Execute national level capability interventions in the region - Ensure that the skill set of field force matches with Organization expectations and optimum Incentive is earned by the field force LEADING SALES IT &amp; AUTOMATION : Being the leader &amp; champion for Sales IT interventions in the region, the incumbent is expected to: - Design an analytics backbone that provides seam-less access to information at all levels in order to aid effective &amp; efficient decision making - Leveraging data analytics to drive key Sales Transformation initiatives in the areas - Ensure system &amp; processes in a region is in line with organizational expectations - Sales Professional with a minimum of 5 years+ experience with at least 2 years of being an Area Sales Manager from a reputed FMCG Company - Preferably MBA (Sales/Marketing) from a Tier1, Tier 2 institute - Detail understanding of GT &amp; MT sales systems and processes - Data analytics skills to scan the trade environment and take appropriate decisions - Facilitation and training skills
