REGIONAL LOGISTICS MANAGER
The Regional Logistics Manager will be responsible for all supply chain activities of the Plants / RDC / Depots under his region. This would enable the RDC / Depots to function smoothly enabling the sales and marketing people to concentrate on selling and marketing activities.
Co-ordination:
- Coordination with plants for supplies as per the plan given by Central planning, head office.
- Coordination/ Feedback to sales team on material availability/ dispatch of goods to depots from RDC.
- Coordination with central planning, Head office for any urgent/adhoc requirement from depots.
Primary Transportation:
- Place callus to transporters for vehicles and follow up.
- Monitor service level of transporters (OTIF)
- RLM will be responsible for getting vehicles/ Fixation of transportation in case of spot requirements in consultation with HO.
Secondary Transportation:
- RLM will arrange quotations from various transporters for secondary transport and help HO in finalization
- Monitor and exercise control on secondary freight of each depot in the zone.
- Follow up with HO for payment of secondary transportation.
Warehouse Management:
- Warehouse space calculation for new depots/ relocation of existing depots
- Perpetual stock count of top 100 SKUs in RDC on monthly basis.
- Proper storage of Materials in RDC and ensure FIFO method of dispatch from RDC/Depots.
- Address damage cases and take corrective actions for damage reduction
- Management of slow- moving / Non- moving stocks and recommend to central planning for inter-depot movement.
C&F Management :
- Monitor C & F agents progress for RDC/Depots in respective zones and suggest/implement improvements.
- Visit to each depots atleast once in six months for audit purpose.
- Safety and statutory requirement of RDC/Depots to be ensured.
- Monitor Material movement from factory/RDC to depots and highlight delayed deliveries.
