Position : Regional Head - Logistics

Location : Chennai

Key Responsibility Areas :

Business Development and Revenue Generation:

- Will be responsible for Business Strategy, Business growth, Targets and Plans, Execution and Operating Metrics including P&L

- Strategizing and achieving region specific business and revenue target in-terms of Supplier, Shipper, Broker sign-ups for services and subscriptions

- Will play an active role in acquiring and retaining strategic accounts (Supplier & Shipper)

- Supporting product development through identification of new business and revenue generation opportunities

Account Management :

- Leading and managing all aspects of Strategic and Flagship (Large/Institutional) accounts from lead generation, meeting and qualifying leads (potential clients) as part of sales process

- Transporter, Broker, Shipper, Network Partner and Affliate Retention

- Responsible for outstanding experience in terms of seamless on-boarding, efficient processes and systems and hi-quality services

- Responsible for customer retention through customized, new and value added services

Operations and Service excellence :

- Ensure operational workflows are well defined and strict adherence to operational SLAs, Metrics, SOPs

Marketing :

- Keeping track of market developments, competitors and feed into business intelligence for targeted marketing efforts to sustain business goals

People Management :

- Team Management and Organization Building to drive high performance

- Work with stakeholders to plan and build organization structure needed to serve the customer in line with brand promise and vision-mission for the business

Desired Skillsets / Experiences :

- Around 11 to 14 years of Logistics and Supply chain industry Experience with sales and operations background

- At least 2 to 3 years of Experience in leading State / Region level sales and operations teams for large fleet operators and/or institutional shippers

- Adept in managing client relationship with strategic and marquee accounts

- Experienced leader and builder of customer centric teams/organizations

- Excellent communication skills (English, Hindi, and Regional language)

Qualification :

- MBA from Tier I/II B School

Attributes :

- Good Analytical, Critical and Logical reasoning skills

- Ability in handling, interpreting and analyzing data

- Proactive, self-starter, ability to work independently with minimal guidance

- Willingness to travel extensively within the State/Region

- Good understanding of the local geography, culture, market characteristics/traits
