Hiring for a leading bank Must Haves Experience in managing branch operations for multiple branches Job Purpose Ensure control and compliance to both internal and external policies and processes to duly ensure best in class service to customers. Also enhance and implement branch processes from both control and service perspective. Functional Responsibilities 1. Branch Assessment and monitoring (On Site): This includes : a. Branch assessment checklist : Tool comprehensive assessment checklist : Includes operational hygiene, adherence to processes related to third party products, customer on-boarding, regulatory compliance, Accounts and reconciliation, Service quality, High risk areas, ATM &amp; CCTV review, FI &amp; Retail Asset products and services b. Assessment Rating, Report Issuance &amp; Issue Tracking: Holistic assessment of branches across operations and service parameters, active engagement with branch teams, Report issuance, Issue tracking, monitoring &amp; escalation c. Periodic engagement and updates : Monthly engagement with business on branch health, highlight critical observations, highlight open issues and observations at branch level and plan for resolution, punitive action on recurring defaulters d. Performance parameters and Control KPIs: Focus on high risk transactions at branches, prioritize branches with poor score card, imparting training on new processes and new initiatives, provide clarifications on processes and procedures, provide input to BCRM team on critical observations, responsible for ensuring - Satisfactory- audit rating. 2. Branch Assessment and monitoring (Off-Site): Review and monitor specific transactions in branches to ensure first level control and adherences in day to day functioning, this includes : a. Retrieval based Monitoring : Monitor branch transactions based on central retrievals, track branch response, identify trends and conduct RCA and work towards process/system change b. Branch Scorecard and MIS : Review branches based on monitoring tools such as Branch Scorecard and Ops &amp; Service MIS. 3. Engagement with Control functions : BMCM will engage with : a. Internal audit : ensure that branches achieve satisfactory audit rating, review audit issues and assess and work towards review and remediation with branch teams b. Compliance Team : Engage with Compliance team for improvement in KYC/AML related areas and streamline processes c. Process management Group / BSG : Identify process gaps /improvement opportunities as part of branch assessment, assess opportunities for system improvement and automation and work with BSG for effecting changes and reduce manual intervention. d. Recruitment: Will play an active role in the selection process of SDMs and CSAs in branches to ensure people with the right knowledge and skill set are hired. Shruthi Acharya Skillventory
