Regional Financial Controller - APAC Region

Regional Financial Controller

Responsibilities:

1) As Regional Finance Controller (RFC) , you will be responsible for controlling and reviewing the content of the regional financial statements both at the consolidated and entity level, as well as support various financial matters within the APAC region.

2) This will include first and foremost a good understanding of the business, requiring successful partnerships with Facilities, Legal, Marketing, and other business-oriented departments such as Commercial teams, FP&A or the Supply team.

3) The RFC will also be in charge of compliance within the Region, including Real Estate Leases, Tax preparation and filings, SOX controls applicable to the region and local financial and tax audits, if any.

4) Managing the accounting of the growth within the region - either organic or through acquisition, with your mission being to ensure that each project is correctly planned and prepared from a financial point of view so that it can be executed in an orderly fashion.

5) Need to work hand-to-hand with the Regional FP&A Partner and the Strategic & Commercial Finance Director when required to provide a comprehensive response from Finance within pre agreed time frames and service levels.

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance is required, CPA is also required

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Public Accounting completed by a similar period spent in Financial Reporting in a Publicly-traded Company

- Previous experience in US GAAP financial reporting a strong plus

- Proven experience in managing financial controlling functions

- Strong leadership and people skills. Track record in building and developing successful teams, knowing how to inspire teams to see the big picture and work together to achieve success.

- Possesses teamwork, communications and management skills needed for success in a rapidly growing, matrixed and changing organization.

- Ideally previous work experience in the New Technology and Digital Marketing industries

- Proven agility when working in a multi-national fast-growing environment

- SAP savvy

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal - a proven influencer of change.

- Ability to work effectively across functions/teams with a process culture

- Proven track record of business support/ partnership a plus

- Travel across the region is to be expected, dependent upon the projects encountered
