- B.E / B.TECH(Mech or production) - 14-15 years in global procurement within category management preferred - Knowledge about contracts/negotiation skills - Knowledge required in category management, logistics, supply chain management and basic understanding of financial tools and reporting - Communications skills required - Ambitious and strong personal drive - Strong communication skills - Analytical skill and a creative mindset - Fact-based and risk balanced decision maker Category Management - Support the development of the category strategy, deploy the strategy - Responsible for supplier selection and support approval for re-sourcing and new projects - Continuous improvement of regional suppliers and strategies in the area of technology, cost, supply and quality - End-to-end responsibility for performance of regional suppliers - Supplier management for key suppliers &nbsp;Strategy Implementation and Contracting - Regional representation in the sites supporting the project managers defining projects and assisting in new product programs, - Commercial assistance when phasing in/out of suppliers - Contracting with regional suppliers reflecting back to back requirements (GT&amp;C, cost, capacity, quality, logistics, etc.) &nbsp;Liaising With Various Teams and Functions - Effective, proactive liaison with relevant functions and departments to understand business needs and identify business opportunities and new projects - Participation in R&amp;D/ new product projects and production transfers ensuring that category strategy is followed and that relevant customer requirements is reported to category team for strategy evaluation
