Regional Business Manager - South - Logistics (6-10 yrs)

We are currently retained by a leading global logistics ecommerce player (well-funded and established) to hire a Regional Business manager.

This role will be responsible to lead the development of sales strategy for the entire region and achieve sales target for the enterprise clients. It's a high visibility role and requires someone who can drive CXO level engagement and build effective client relationship. This is an ecommerce division and thus needs a new age thinker.

Location: Bangalore

Key responsibilities:

- New business development: Acquire strategic, high value clients spread across multiple industry verticals and retention of existing clients

- Grow business from existing clients by cross selling multiple products / logistics solutions

- Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.

- Support, review and approve sales strategies for each business and lead sales central projects or initiatives

- Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of national objectives.

- Articulate sales policy, procedures and guidelines to support strategy implementation

- Monitor businesses- performance against target both volume and margin

- Coordinate corrective actions to sales programs, if necessary, to achieve target commitments

- Develop and maintain organizational capability and participate in the talent management process

- Provide coaching and guidance for Sales professionals (i.e. Sales Managers and Area Sales Manager)

To fit the bill

- You must be an MBA from a top ranked B school (non-negotiable)

- Minimum 6 years of experience in B2B sales with strong understanding of supply chain management.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Great problem solving skills

- Ability to coach and guide sales professionals

- Excellent relationship building skills and team handling abilities

- Strong business acumen with the ability to build strategies to achieve sales targets

- Strong decision making, managerial and negotiation skills
