Senior Fabric Sourcing Manager

Looking for someone who has experience of working at large factories

Roles and Responsibilities:

- To lead and direct the entire course of fabric sourcing, development, production and delivery for accounts

- To give actionable direction and communicate/train customer initiatives to other members of business partner.

- Interpret trend ideas and apply them to create fabric specifications. Working on fabric specifications and well versed with unit conversions.

- Awareness and implementation of various requirements of different renowned customers in terms analyzing fabric for basic physical properties and decide approval/rejection.

- Sourcing Fabric from different manufacturing sectors in India/Abroad, Coordinating with suppliers for timely deliveries of the same.

- Evaluation of mill infrastructure and calculation of mill capacity.

- Monitoring fabric development, production, and quality from multiple facilities.

- Supervise every negotiation and provide guidelines to prepare documents for purchasing and making a contract

- Experience in manpower management for key accounts/buyers.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Degree in Textiles Science/Engineering/Technology with minimum 15 years of experience in fabric development, sourcing, supply chain and delivery in large factories

- Costing and sourcing expert

- Extensive network of textile mills

- Good understanding of knits and woven fabrications, chemical and mechanical finishes, 4-point inspection system, fabric costing, digital measurement of color and fundamentals of fabric manufacturing, dyeing and finishing

- Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of all textiles, both knits and woven

- Able to travel for meeting with Customer

- Excellent interpersonal skills & marketing skills
