1. BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION : To be an independent data scientist and senior resource capable of doing various statistical modelling and predictive analysis for dynamic pricing, dynamic discounting, customer segmentation and better business decision making 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Work on advanced data analysis to provide insights to different types of users - Identify behavioural and attribute based clusters using clustering techniques - Conduct predictive analysis to create various - what-if- scenarios to drive organizational planning and marketing strategy - Develop & apply algorithms operating on data to solve real life business problems. - Be the - go to person for all statistical modelling/analysis in the organization 3. KNOW HOW, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE FOR THIS POSITION (a) Education, qualifications and training Post Graduation in Statistics from Premier Institute (b) Experience required : - Strong statistical knowledge and hands-on experience with statistical tools and techniques - Demonstrated capability to provide meaningful and actionable insights based on data analysis - Strong communication skills - Significant experience in predictive modelling (e.g. Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Ada-Boost). - Strong capability of running multivariate regression models using Python/R - Ability to conduct cluster analysis on large datasets - Good understanding and working experience with multiple data sources - High level of comfort with receiving, loading, cleansing, enriching & enhancing transactional data sources - Ability to proactively come up with solutions requiring minimal guidance - Should be a strong team player & able to work on ambiguous environment with minimal guidance (c) Specialised knowledge required - Good to have - 3-5 years of experience in statistical modelling/customer segmentation/predictive analysis in a quant-heavy organization - Candidates with strong business sense and problem solving capabilities preferred
