Job Title: Regional Consumer & Market Insights Manager, India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka (South Asia)  SUMMARY :   - The Regional Consumer & Market Insights Manager plays a key role in driving the growth of the regional business by influencing the growth strategies and investment choices based on strong consumer and market understanding. The focus is on Executing winning Innovations and activation of brands through deeply rooted insights, resulting in RB share and topline growth.  SCOPE/ DIMENSIONS OF ROLE :   - This role is responsible for driving actions & generating the Consumers Insights in the South Asia markets, with primary focus on India. This is a large and important Region for Reckitt Benckiser (RB) and is charged with disproportionate growth contribution for the company. The region encompasses several underdeveloped categories and high diversity, making this an exciting and challenging role.  - The work in this role will focus on winning in the market place, by identifying the right growth segments (Market Insights), making our brands & innovations more appealing to consumers (Consumer Insights) and guiding the actions to win across trade channels and in store (Trade & Shopper Insights).   - Reporting is to the Senior Manager, Consumer & Market Insights(CMI), South East Asia (based in India) - the successful candidate will be working closely with the Regional Country Managers, Marketing Directors, Finance and Sales Directors.   - This is a LAPAC (Asia Pacific & Latin America) CMI role, based in a key Power Market for RB. The majority of the time and focus of the CMI Manager will be to drive the business growth in India, the Power Market in South Asia and where appropriate take on regional or Area wide project lead roles.  - Key partners and stakeholders will be the regional marketing & sales directors and country managers, the Category CMI teams and other Regional CMI Managers in the LAPAC Area.  RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES :   - Have a deep understanding of consumers, trade and markets in the countries of South Asia across categories, and be the Consumer Insights and Knowledge champion in the region  - Strong focus and involvement in managing the business, brand and innovation activation/commercialization, reviewing business objectives with regional and country management, in order to develop, manage and analyze learning plans to best meet them  - Provide leadership within local and regional business teams to generate actionable insights from research results, contributing to practical action plans that yield growth.   - CMI team: An active member of the LAPAC & Global CMI team. Builds strong relationships within the CMI organisation, and with CMI directors and managers in LAPAC & around the world. Contributes to the leadership, development and application of Best Practices for Consumer and Market Insights within RB.  - Learning Plans: Leverage global standard and consistent methodologies in partnership with global external partners (BASES, Millward Brown, IPSOS, TNS..), and identify appropriate learning plans to meet the regional business needs.  - Syndicated data: Define the regional data needs with input from stakeholders, then work closely with the Global Market Insights team for retail audit and household panel service acquisition in the region, as well as with the suppliers on ensuring high quality deliverables, reporting and analysis.   - Research budget management: plan and manage the regional CMI budget with input from the country and regional management, and guidance from the SEA Sr Manager.  - Supplier management: develop strong relationships with global and regional external research suppliers to ensure superior service and quality  SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES PROFILE :   Consumer and Market Insights Experiences and Skills:  - 8-10 years experience of CMI management in multinational Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), additional Research Agency experience on a large multinational FMCG account is a plus.  - Proven ability to translate business challenges into business questions, learning plans and driving actions based on insights.  - Experience in learning/research plan development, budget management & priority setting  - Demonstrated experience and skills in market analysis, qualitative and quantitative consumer, shopper and trade research.   Business and Organizational Experiences and Skills :  - Either multi category or multi country (preferred) CMI leadership responsibility of a large FMCG multinational business in excess of - 200m.  - Strong commercial understanding of corporate business and operational models  - Strong understanding of brand building strategy, commercialization plans, revenue & profitability  - Strong proven in market results (revenue, share, equity) of business driven by recommendations and insights from the individual.  Interpersonal and Managerial Experiences and Skills :  - Results oriented, independent, entrepreneurial and self-motivated  - Leadership and proven ability to influence business decisions and strategies while working with diverse teams.  - Collaboration and demonstrated ability to overcome cultural and location barriers to work effectively with key business partners and stakeholders in a productive environment.  - Excellent English communication skills both written and oral.  - Versatility, capacity and mobility, RB is a global business that will require travel and potential future international relocation for other assignments.  Please note that the duties and responsibilities within this role may change over the course of employment, which will require flexibility.
