ROLE PROFILE Job Title: Assistant Manager - Operations Reports to: Production Operations Manager Location: Baddi No of Direct Reports: 5-10 Approx. No of Indirect Reports: 0 Financial Responsibility (Direct): Labour Costs Financial Responsibility (Indirect): Waste, Material variance, indirect consumables SUMMARY :&nbsp; Manager is responsible for leading manufacturing activities, providing coaching and leading improvement/culture change, as well as ensuring their area consistently delivers against factory KPIs. SCOPE / DIMENSIONS OF ROLE :&nbsp; The role is focussed on ensuring that teams are able to meet targets set for quality, cost and service. A key aspect is also to develop a more self-empowered team, by training, coaching and development of individuals through strong leadership. RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES :&nbsp; - Ensure teams maintain all cGMP/Regulatory compliance standards. Ensure 5S standards are adhered to. - Responsible for Audit compliance in the area with respect to Safety, Regulatory and GMS. - Ensure all SOPs are followed and, if not, corrective actions are identified and action taken - Ensuring maximum flexibility both within work teams and between groups by identifying training issues with Crew Leaders and taking the subsequent steps to ensure the training is enacted - Delivery of KPIs - Ensure KPI scorecards are kept up to date on a daily basis by their team members and are reviewed on a weekly basis with the whole Team. - Report an accumulated view of all scorecards and other KPIs on a weekly basis to Operations Manager. - Review OEE results on a weekly basis with their direct and support teams, identify and agree main issues and create improvement plans for following week. - Ensure performance reviews of teams are carried out on a monthly basis, with any issues/training/development opportunities being communicated to PSL/Operations Manager. - Ensure near miss forms are generated and reviewed/actioned. Ensure all accidents are reported to yourself/other area management for investigation. - Ensure weekly plan provided by Operations Manager is communicated to all operational teams and the annualised hours recording system is maintained on a weekly basis. - Ensure weekly plan provided by Operations Manager is communicated to all operational teams and the annualised hours recording system is maintained on a weekly basis. - Coach, provide, support, lead and drive productivity improvements. - Co-ordination with Store Department for RM/PM dispensing to meet the production plan. - Co-ordination with Purchase Department to ensure that production consumable materials are available as per production schedule. - Initiating Deviation, Change Control (If Reqd.) with co-ordination of respective Departments to achieve the Business or Supply Requirement. - Co-ordination with QC/Microbiology/QA to avail the RM/PM/SFG/FG or others Status. - Process validation of Tablet/Semisolid/Liquid/Lozenge/Powder SKUs. - Co-ordination with respective Department for Internal Audit. - Review of Documents like Qualification/Validation Docs. - Co-ordination with SSG/Technical Team for cpk improvement in Products. KEY CHALLENGES - Challenge teams to make their own decisions and accept responsibility for the outcome- - Ensure that briefings are 2 way events focussed on driving KPI improvements- Delivering products within quality, cost and time constraints- - Identifying, recommending and implementing process improvements. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE :&nbsp; - Pharma/ Engg. Graduate having calibre with broad experience (10 years plus) of Manufacturing Operations management in a relevant industry, ideally Healthcare,Pharma,FMCG. Tracks and manages a limited capital budget - Defines stock levels for raw materials and finished goods.
