RECITY - Business Development Manager (3-8 yrs)
- Lead Generation and Conversion: Identify potential clients within the corporate brand, multilateral institution, and grants sectors. Develop and execute strategic plans to convert leads into clients, ensuring a steady stream of business opportunities.
- Client Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients and prospects. Understand their needs, align our offerings to meet those needs, and ensure client satisfaction till the relationship is transitioned to relationship management team.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for growth. Utilize insights to develop targeted business development strategies and position our organization competitively.
- Proposal Development (Powerpoint + Word/ Canva): Collaborate with the team to create compelling and customized proposals that address clients' specific challenges and objectives. Present proposals to clients and effectively communicate the value proposition of our services.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of business development professionals.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to drive individual and collective performance.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment of efforts and successful execution of projects. Leverage cross-functional relationships to maximize business development opportunities.
- Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and relevant forums to expand the organization's network and enhance its visibility within the target sectors.
- Performance Tracking: Develop and maintain metrics to track the success of business development efforts. Provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven track record of 5-10 years in business development, with a focus on corporate brands, multilateral institutions, and grants.
- Strong understanding of the lead generation to conversion cycle and experience in successfully closing high-value deals.
- Previous experience in management consulting is a significant advantage. Also, a knowledge and understanding of waste management practices, sustainability, and the circular economy ecosystem will be preferred.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, fostering collaboration and achieving results.
- Strategic thinker with a keen eye for identifying market trends and opportunities
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM, business development tools, report & proposal making viz-a-viz advanced MS Office (Excel + Word + Powerpoint + PowerBI) software
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
