About the client : An Indian multinational electrical equipment/ home appliances company Job Location : Noida Role Responsibilities: - New LED TV development including specifications, scheduling development, Design validation, Quality test planning, regulation compliance and Mass production, Manufacturing and Production support and QC Audit. - Evaluating product for the Software, hardware and the performance requirement - Responsible for the production line trials and approvals for the new models. - Co-ordinating with external laboratories for the testing of product for the government regulations such as BIS, BEE, WPC, RoHS, etc. - Coordinating with overseas supplier R&D & Quality team for the product improvement, design modification and the resolution of field issues, Production process Improvements, Incoming material quality improvement. - Hiring and developing key resources into the R&D team - Interfacing with marketing teams to understand future trends and develop product development road map aligned to marketing teams - Interfacing with BU head of the home appliances division and the R&D resources to introduce trend setting products in the markets. - Represent the brand at relevant Regulation and Standards bodies to understand/influence new regulations impacting the Appliances industry. Education and Experience Requirements: - Engineering graduate from a from reputed institute in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Master's degree (M.Tech/MS) in relevant field highly desirable - 12-17 years of experience in new models' developments and launching of LCD/LED TV / Smart LED TV or Android TV - Past track record of having led R&D teams in HVAC industry. Experience of 15+ years of which 10+ in the desired industry - Experience in New Product Development with a demonstrated history of working in the consumer Electronics goods industry in LED TV division - Skilled in New Product Development, Product reliability, Compliance management, Supplier Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Team Management - Strong process orientation for R&D - demonstrate the rigor of product development process ranging from translating functional specifications to technical specifications, release of product design as per the quality/safety standards prevalent in the industry, and smooth transition between R&D and manufacturing - Strategic and analytical mindset
