The Role :

The role holder will be responsible for discussing all potential impacts of the IBOR reform on our business and customers and tailor the planning and approach specifically to NWM customers and business activity.

What the Business Does :

NatWest Markets (NWM) is the wholesale banking division of the RBS Group with branches and trading activities located in numerous worldwide locations but principally the USA, Europe, and Asia.

The team provides services related to the management and control of transaction integrity and operational support front to back for all capital markets transactions globally. With the interconnected nature of the business activities and technology, estate teams will continue to manage a mix of transactions covering business activity undertaken by both Markets and Capital Resolution.

Your Responsibilities :

- Bring drive, energy, and enthusiasm to any particular initiative, inspiring others to continually perform at their best

- Have a thorough technical understanding of the electronic trading and execution landscape in order to facilitate requirements gathering and development needed to support regulatory compliance across a range of regulations and industry standards

- Implement and embed operating models and controls required to support ongoing compliance

- Responsible for gathering requirements, create functional specification by liaising between users and technical teams to analyse requirements, design solutions and manage the development and deployment of resulting projects

- Ensure accurate conversion of the business requirements and functional specifications into technical design and be the subject matter expert on the requirements

- Develop functional change request throughout the project lifecycle, as new requirements or requirement gaps are discovered

- Develop user training guides by combining the understanding of functional specification and knowledge of business usage of the product

- Ensure Business Analysis and related deliveries are made as per agreed time and cost

- Be aware of and follow NWM BA best practices and processes. Evaluate and contribute to making them more robust from individual and /or organisation perspective and suggest improvements

- Be accountable for your delivery of commitments to stakeholders; build strong relationships with C&RA, Legal, the front office, ATC and technology

The Skills You Will Need :

- Qualified Accountant/Regular MBA and/or Graduate degree with Banking and regulatory reporting experience

- Understanding of relevant asset classes Rates/Credit/Equity/FX/Futures markets including vanilla and structured trading businesses ideally earned in a Middle Office/Operations environment

- Understand the key elements of the front to back processes including other infrastructure groups, i.e. Finance, Risk and Control, Operational Risk, Technology, Legal and Compliance

- Excellent responsiveness, professionalism, gravitas, diplomacy

- Excellent communications and presentation skills

- Proven ability to build, develop and engage strong relationships with stakeholders

- Ability to work within governance to creatively solve business challenges

- Ability to plan and prioritise workload efficiently and effectively

- Creativity in problem-solving and issue resolution

- Extensive experience of working under tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities
