RBL Bank - DVP/Senior Manager - Finance Internal GL Control Unit

The concerned role is to lead the Internal Control Function of the Bank residing in the Finance function. This position will be responsible for control and maintenance General Ledger of the Banks and ensuring sanity of GL balances.

Key deliverables are periodic review of GLs and chart of accounts, GL maintenance, Balance sheet substantiation, process reviews, controls balance checks, supporting audits, new product implementation, new systems, etc.

Key Responsibilities

1. GL Maintenance

- Review and Control Chart of Accounts

- Setting of the GL in various systems and CBS

- Reviewing various rights for the GLs

- Working with the Business and technology team on GL architecture of various products, schemes and variations

- Working with IT to set Accounting schemas

2. Controls

- Supporting the Internal Financial Control requirements for the Financial Control Units

- Control on the Internal GLs opened and used in the Bank

- Process reengineering to bring in additional Controls

3. Development

- System enhancements, BRDs, UATs, etc relating to CBS

- Finance coordinator for the review of all new products and processes

- Supporting new product rollout in the system

- Supporting implementation of RBI ADF (Automated Regulatory Reporting) Project

- Assigning and re-inforcing GL ownership at various levels

- Accountable for development / changes to support business requirements and initiatives including change control, hierarchy and systems updates.

- Develop control framework and monitor internal control reports for the team. Manage and review exposure to financial Highlight risk and issues pertaining to financial records and operational data

4. Development

- New Transactions undertaken by Bank and their migration to/from Bank platforms

- Key point of contact with various IT/Operations Team

- Reinforcing and embed strong control framework around current processes.

- Implementation of ORACLE GL

5. Reviews

- New SOPs given by the Operations

- Accounting and GL implications on New products and Transactions

Qualifications

Essential - B.COM, CA with 5+ yrs experience preferably in the Financial Services industry

Experience

Essential - 8 years or more of post-qualification experience, preferably, in Banking or Financial Services industry. Should have experience with Core Banking Solutions (CBS) used in Banks. Candidate should have good working knowledge of RBI circulars and accounting standards issued by ICAI.
