Raymond Group - Associate Manager - Raw Material Purchase

- To draw upon a depth of knowledge and experience in order to contribute in a complex/critical environment while managing raw material procurement

- Ensuring the integrity of the Raw Material manual, maintain data base and updating changes if any

- Lead negotiations in long term contracts for business needs

- Develop supplier scorecards and conduct quarterly business reviews

- Maintain, evaluate, and expand reliable suppliers to effectively achieve cost, availability, and strong supplier management relationships

- Identify new suppliers as necessary and determine the optimal set of providers for goods and services

- Solving issues related to purchase order payment

- Retaining the vendors that have already been developed

- Establish a robust Procurement Improvement Plan (PIP) for the business which is aligned with the relevant category PIPs and details the value, probability and status of opportunities available

- Ensure there is a robust process that includes procurement sign off, for introducing new materials in to the business. Within this develop and maintain a preferred supplier list to be used by the Development function to source new materials and avoid un-necessary supplier and material proliferation

- Anticipate unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies

- Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements

- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

- Define category sourcing strategy using quadrant analysis and presentation to leadership for approval and alignment

- Periodic spend analysis of Raw material and ensuring the execution of aligned sourcing strategy

- Subject matter expert for personal care categories mainly- palm oil derivatives, specialty chemicals, general chemicals and keeping constant watch on market development is these categories for timely decision making

- Good understanding of end to end supply chain process including but not limited to sourcing, purchasing ,contract lifecycle management , supplier management

- Should be well versed in the concepts like identification of need, finding and qualifying the suppliers , requesting proposals , negotiating with suppliers , contracting , delivery and analyzing results

- Building relationships - Strong working relationships with key stakeholders and power users including influence, advice and support to key decision makers

- Knowledge of PO processing , vendor master data , tactical buying / Spot buys , RFx

- Monitor and communicate operational results in a timely and effective manner through the monthly performance dashboard , insight driven (data / analytics ) process matrix dashboard

Qualification : BSc/Mc (Chemistry) or BE (Chemicals)
