Rane Group - Assistant Manager - Business Development - M&A

Responsibilities:

- Scan environment and identify acquisition & alliance prospects in focus business areas.

- Liaise with investment bankers for identifying potential acquisition/alliance prospects.

- Qualify prospects using internal filters/criteria.

- Analyse business opportunities identified from time to time covering relevant market size, technology, competition, trends and future outlook.

- Prepare comprehensive presentations on qualified prospects.

- Conduct preliminary and detailed business due diligence.

- Provide end-to-end liaison support for financial & legal due diligence.

- Perform valuations using different methodologies, make financial projections and assess financial viability.

- Prepare detailed business case for evaluation of chosen opportunities by management.

- Develop collaterals on Rane Group capabilities for entry into new business domains.

- Document NDAs, MOUs and other relevant agreements as required

- Facilitate closure of deal documentation.

- Prepare progress reports for M&A, BD and 3D reviews by senior management.

- Any other topics that may be of interest to team and company.

Desired Profile:

- BE (Mechanical Engineering) + PGDM/MBA; preferably with experience in M&A.

- Sound ability to analyze markets and trends as well as possess good business acumen.

- Capability to understand products and manufacturing technologies.

- Knowledge of financial analysis and planning.

- Ability to work alone, plan & execute projects with minimum supervision and to complete work within required time deadlines.

- Possess excellent analytical skills in proposing well-founded conclusions.

- Demonstrate initiative, autonomy, adaptability, maturity and sound judgment.

- Sound communication and listening skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
