Legal Manager


- RAIN is seeking a Legal Manager to join its Legal Department.


- The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the Legal activities.


- In this role, you will translate business requirements related to regular correspondences with statutory authorities and others.


- In drafting various agreements with suppliers, contractors and others. Reviewing and advising purchase departments of RAIN'S subsidiary companies on the inclusion of various terms and conditions in purchase and service orders.


- Regular follow up with our Advocates for the various cases pending before the High Courts and Supreme Courts and other judicial or quasi-judicial bodies.


- To deal with power / electricity matters in India and matters related thereto


- Hands on Experience in Foreign Trade Policy, DGFT, SEZ related matters, Mining Law - MMDR Act and procedure


- Experience in dealing with Civil, Criminal laws and other allied matters


Role and Responsibilities:


- Assist General Manager, Legal on all matters relating Rain group as follows:


- Regular correspondences with statutory authorities and others


- Drafting various agreements with suppliers, contractors and others


- Reviewing and advising purchase departments of RAIN's subsidiary companies on the inclusion of

various terms and conditions in purchase and service orders


- Regular follow up with our Advocates for the various cases pending before the High Courts and Supreme Courts and other judicial or quasi-judicial bodies


Contract Administration:


- Assist General Manager, Legal in advising for ensuring compliance with the Company's Contracting Procedures (including use of the Company's standard terms and conditions for various business transactions)


- Assist General Manager, Legal in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of business operations contracts, including (but not limited to) contracts relating to:


- Direct procurement (i.e., purchase of raw materials from suppliers)


- Indirect procurement (i.e., purchase of goods and services from vendors)


- Finished product sale contracts to customers


- Logistics and/or transportation agreements


- Non-disclosure agreements


- Property related agreements


- Legal Compliance


- Assist General Manager, Legal in day-to-day work relating to Legal matters concerning the Company


Required Technical and Professional Expertise:


- 10 years relevant Law firm or in-house experience representing companies in India.


Skills must for the Job:


- Legal Compliance Supporting the Company's in house legal team in advising other departments on legal issues and to coordinate with counsels for effective disposal of cases including compliance with the Company's policies and procedures relating to third party risk management, anti-bribery / anti corruption laws, trade-sanctions programs and anti-trust laws.


Soft Skills:


- Working Knowledge of MS Office and teams etc.


- Should be a team player


- Good Communication Skills


Preferred Qualifications:


- Bachelor of Law degree from a recognized university in India


- Ability to quickly and efficiently become familiar with the Company's required legal compliance, contracts, and corporate governance framework.
