Radio Mirchi - Cluster Head - Sales (8-10 yrs)

This is a dual responsibility role. The incumbent will be performing the duties of a Station Head role for Ahmedabad, with added responsibility of leading 3 other stations in the cluster viz. Surat, Baroda and Rajkot.

Primary Responsibilities :

1. Ensure that the topline and the bottom-line targets of the Cluster are achieved

- Revenue and P&L responsibility :

i. Achieving revenue targets set for station/cluster. Responsible for revenue for both Radio Sales and Mirchi Activations (events)

ii. Plan pricing, costs and revenues for markets

iii. Responsible for delegation of targets and goal setting

iv. Continuously scan the markets for new opportunities and formulate strategies, explore new business avenues and new markets for radio

v. To formulate strategies, explore new business avenues and new markets for radio

- Ensure implementation of systems and procedures as formalized by corporate

- Manage the regulatory environment and ensure timely escalation of issues pertaining to regulatory / human resources etc. to the Corporate office

2. Growth in listenership for the Cluster :

- Overall responsibility of all that goes on air

- Building radio as a category both at listener and advertiser level

- Keeping a tab of listenership reports like the IRS / IPSOS

3. People Responsibilities :

a. Culture keeper for the cluster - ensure the Mirchi Culture is maintained

b. Be part of the recruiting process for hiring new talent

c. Monitoring and assessing performance and productivity of all team members

d. Training, developing and guiding team members

e. Responsibility for overall attrition

f. Responsibility of overall safety and security of the team members

Other Responsibilities :

1. To build the image of the Radio Station through planned PR interventions and relationship with other media and media houses in the city

2. To ensure that the technical equipment and infrastructure of each station is managed and maintained

3. To ensure smooth functions between different departments

4. To ensure audit compliance of the stations (internal as well as external audits)

5. To gather business intelligence on competition
