About the Organization:

RA Chem Pharma is a leading pharmaceutical company, based in Hyderabad. It has been recently acquired by Advent International which is global private equity firm with $66 billion worth of assets under management. Advent aims to develop RA Chem as an API-led pharma platform and scale up the business multi-fold through a mix of organic and acquisition-led growth. Advent has also put together a new board of directors and senior leadership team comprising of individuals with decades of operating experience with leading Indian companies.

In line with our M&A-led strategy, we have recently announced the acquisition of ZCL Chemicals, a leading Mumbai-based API company. This is an important first milestone in the journey towards our aspirations and we intend to do more such value-accretive acquisitions in the coming years.

To deliver on the inorganic agenda, RA Chem is now looking to strengthen the M&A team by bringing on board experienced, committed individuals with a passion for deal making as well as ability to drive post-merger integration initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

1. CA or MBA from a reputed B-School

2. 4-6 years- experience in investment banking/ management consulting/ corporate strategy/ corporate M&A

3. Should have supported senior leaders on M&A transactions or strategic cross-functional projects

4. Proficient in building financial models and excellent PowerPoint skills

5. Ability to collaborate effectively and work in a team environment

6. Persuasive written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence senior leaders across functions

7. Ability to think strategically but execute with keen attention to detail

Job Description:

1. Research and identify potential M&A targets based on publicly available information

2. Independently run financial and qualitative evaluation of M&A opportunities

3. Support in preparation of succinct investment memos for top management and investment committee

4. Execute post-merger integration projects, including governance, detailed planning and implementation

5. Support value creation agenda including identifying and delivering revenue and cost synergies

6. Support senior leadership on ad-hoc business projects.
