Quick Ride - Director - Public Policy (5-8 yrs)
Job Responsibilities :
- You will engage stakeholders in order to explain Quick ride's policies, provide statistical and factual information to lobby on issues that could impact our ability to operate successfully
- You will help shape the company's government relations (vis a vis all stakeholders) on public policy issues
- You will represent the company in the outreach with public officials - Shape and influence public policy that has the potential to affect (negatively or positively) Quick ride's business environment
- You will target and systematically build high quality relationships with key institutions or "agencies" through consistent and regular communications, face-to-face meetings, plant tours and by providing issue expertise and transparent information
- You will monitor and communicate important emerging legislative issues and bills
- You will develop resources, tools and strategies that allow effective communication of the company's position on issues, economic contributions and leadership in key areas including sustainability, citizenship, innovation, safety
- You will identify and help prepare strategy and response to manage risks (operational, regulatory, reputational. market/product, financial) with internal crisis teams
- You will identify opportunities to improve the business environment for Quick ride including securing tax/financial incentives, enhanced infrastructure, or other government support
- You will engage external stakeholders to work collaboratively on issues that are common (NGOs, Suppliers, Trade Partners/ Retailers/Distributors, Business, Professional and Consumer Associations, etc.)
