The Global Head for Business Excellence is responsible for helping the organization achieve its vision of being a best in the class partner to its customers by developing, establishing and implementing Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Compliance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Setting Quality & Compliance Strategy
Formulating and fine-tuning the strategic vision for Quality & Compliance of the organization, drawing up a clear roadmap in line with organizational goals and deriving an overall framework for achieving Business Excellence.
2. Global Quality Management System :
Conceptualizing the idea of an Integrated System involving multi-verticals & multi-standards besides multi-regions and providing leadership and direction to the team towards development & effective implementation. Strategize approaches along with Operations and facilitate implementation to achieve highest standards in deliverables to the customer.
3. Governance & Compliance :
Ensuring robust Governance and Compliance of the entire organization as the CISO in conformance to ISO 27001 requirements and specific customer requirements.
4. Global Certification :
Ensure successful Global certification on all relevant Quality & Information Security Standards namely ISO 9001, AS 9100, ISO 13485, ISO 26262, ISO 27001 etc.
5. Continuous Improvement :
Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship on continuous improvements (process improvements & productivity) using state of art techniques/methods such as Agile, Lean Sigma, DFSS etc. Facilitate continuous improvement projects and ensure on-time and effective closure of projects.
6. Information Security :
Drive awareness and compliance of information security and related areas including GDPR.
7. Enterprise Risk Management :
Spearheading risk management implementation with an expert team at various levels in the organization such as Project, Program, and Business Units and across the Enterprise by developing a robust framework.
8. Support Integration of Acquired Entities :
Support Integration Management Office in developing a robust framework for effective Integration of Acquired Entities. Providing leadership, strategy and direction for successful Integration on the process and system front.
9. Coaching and Mentoring :
- A building, developing and leading a team of competent personnel to realize the business vision.
Qualification:
- Degree in Engineering with Post Graduation in Management / Engineering from reputed Institutes / Universities
- Certified Master Black belt / Black belt from a reputed organization
- Certified Lead Assessor for ISO 9001 [ preferred]
- AS 9100 Quality Standards [preferred]
Experience:
- Total work experience of 20-25 years with demonstrable relevant global experience in reputed organizations
- Strong embedded and software background
- Should have experience managing global teams
- Strategic thinking and business acumen
- Passion for coaching, mentoring & training
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Sound expertise in the use of Quality tools & techniques for Problem-solving and improvement
- Working knowledge of Business Excellence Models such as TQM / Malcolm Baldridge / EFQM
