Job Description:
The Finance Resource will provide overall support for Portfolio Management, Financial Management, PO Management, and Resource Management for the Global Development (Clinical) IT organization.
Responsibilities:
- PO Processing: Manage the end-to-end purchase order process, including PO creation, tracking, and reconciliation.
- Actuals Tracking: Monitor and track actual expenditures against budgets, providing regular updates and variance analysis.
- Accruals: Prepare and process accruals for expenses, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Nexus Financials Update: Maintain and update financial data in the Nexus Financials system.
- Financial Reporting: Generate and distribute regular financial reports, including budget vs. actual reports, variance analysis, and other ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with Product Managers/Leads to develop, monitor, and manage budgets, providing guidance and support throughout the budget lifecycle.
- Resource Management: Manage resource onboarding and offboarding processes, including tracking resource allocation, costs, and related financial implications.
- Portfolio Management Support: Provide financial insights and support for portfolio management activities, including tracking project costs, benefits, and overall financial performance.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders, including Product Managers, Leads, and other finance teams, to provide financial support and guidance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 7 - 15 years of relevant experience in a finance role, preferably supporting a global organization.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Proven experience in PO processing, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Experience with budget management and forecasting.
- Proficiency in financial systems, preferably Nexus Financials.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with resource management and tracking costs.
- Good understanding of MS Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the IT industry, particularly within a Global Development (Clinical) IT organization.
- Knowledge of clinical trial financials.
- Experience with any other financial planning tools
