So here's what we're looking for :

Qualifications :

1) Degree in Computer Science/Engineering from a top tier institution

2) Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Financial Engineering/Financial Math/Statistics is a definite plus!

3) Financial certifications desired (e.g., CFA, FRM, CMT etc)

Experience:

1) 5+ years of experience in application development

2) 3+ years of experience in Python is a must.




3) Working experience of SQL (MySQL preferred) & MongoDB

4) Experience in the finance industry highly preferred, or otherwise, clear demonstrable enthusiasm for financial markets and intellectual curiosity about investing & trading in the markets

Skill Sets:

1) Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

2) Software engineering skills including object-oriented design, and the application of design patterns.

What the Right Attitude?

The candidate must :

1) Be a highly motivated self-starter, a team player and the ability to multi-task with a focus on delivering results under high pressure environment.

2) Be willing to take full ownership of projects, covering analysis, technical design and implementation, testing, and deployment tasks.

3) Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills

Special Knowledge (bonus points, if you have these) :

1) Experience with market data vendors - Refinitiv Eikon, Factset, Bloomberg, Accord Fintech etc.

2) Experience with machine learning or big data.

3) Experience with PnL and performance attribution reporting.

4) Experience with Git/GitHub

5) Cloud Certification (AWS, Azure)

5) Is passionate about stocks and invests, trades in his/her own spare time!
